Are you ready to learn?
Get yourself a pen and paper.✍ Once you have them, I would like you all to write some things you like, things you are good at, and things you would like to learn how to do in 3 columns. Look them over and see how you can improve on any one of them, look to see if you can combine any of them together, and also see if you can make them grow into a small business if you wish to do so.
I wanted to take some time to give you some great tips in ways you can develop those skills, talents and hobbies. But also, I would like to list some tips that can help you choose new hobbies and skills too!😁
Tip #1 – For things you are good at, you can offer online courses to teach others how to get good at them too. For instance, many people are teaching music lessons, like how to sing or play an instrument.🎵🎸 Others may offer crafting classes on how to make things.🛠 The list goes on and on, and you can do this yourself to earn some extra money.
Let’s say you are a good cook.🍳 You have your own favorite recipes and family recipes. You can create courses to show people how to make them too. You can teach them cooking tips and techniques that you use as well. The more you offer in your online courses, the more people will continue to support you. You can ask them to send you questions and not only answer them, but show them as well.
Tip #2 – if you are looking to learn something yourself, a great way to do that is to try learning in short bursts at a time. Try spending around 30 to 50 minutes on each learning session. Usually anything under 30 minutes isn't enough time to learn the fundamentals of it, and often times anything over 50min. ends up giving your brain too much information at once to take at one time, and you end up having to go over it again the next time.
Brief and frequent sessions for learning a new skill, talent, or hobby, allows you to have better results in learning.💪 Find your own pace, take notes on things to help you remember and practice on improving those things. As they say, a little goes a long way. Take the baby steps to become a lot better in time.
Tip #3 – For those that only have a certain amount of time to learn something, try doing a set time every few days. It’s best to review the information on the thing you were learning one to two days after starting to learn it. This is a way of retaining the information for your brain and training your brain to know that this information does need to be retained because it is valuable to you. 🧠🔌
You can try repeating some of the learning steps every few days or even a week to help you be able to grow and improve from it.
Tip #4 – When learning one of these talents, skills, or hobbies, try practicing it in different perspectives.🤔 This will allow you to learn about it in new ways and allows you to understand more about it. By giving yourself this approach, you will be able to see what ways does and doesn't work for you. You may find your own way that is easier than the way you were trying to learn from.
Some people can learn their new skill, talent, or hobby a lot faster this way. A lot of historical figures developed their own methods for their own skills and talents. Look at Thomas Edison, when he worked to develop the lightbulb.💡 His famous quote should give you some inspiration to never give up and to keep trying to find the way that works best for you.
"I didn't fail. I just found 2,000 ways not to make a lightbulb. I only needed to find one way to make it work."
Tip #5 – Make the learning or teaching experiences of it fun.🙌 This way you will stay passionate about it and want to continue to do it. Challenge yourself in fun ways to see how fast you can do it, as an example. Give yourself rewards for your success and do funny punishments if you don't succeed. By implementing humor and fun, it keeps these skills, talents, and hobbies, both fresh and new.
Let this note be that reminder for you.
