Thank you so much for your question. Yeah believe it or not I do know a thing or two about surround sound systems and I know how it can be really important if you want to entertain people how important the sound is not to mention the TV by the way. But let’s start with the sound.
Here are a few tips that you can use while setting up your surround sound system.
1. Buy a Single System 🔈🔈
Different speaker units have different sounds and collaborate with one another and different ways, that is why it is always important to buy a similar brand or type of speaker any time you are going to put one in your home to assure that the sound will remain compliant across all of the speakers.
2. Place them Properly 🔈🔈
Placement of your speakers is very important to sound quality. Try to make a triangle between where you are sitting and the left and right speakers. The center channel should be as close to the TV as possible with the other two speakers being on either side of where you sit.
3. Decorate 🔈🔈
Adding carpet or curtains to your television area absorbs some of the sound so you don’t get as many reverberations. Think of it like talking in an empty room, furniture it will soft in the Echo and leave a more natural sound.
4. Don’t Overdo It 🔈🔈
A 6.1 or 7.1 system steers the sound to specific locations in a room. If you have a very small space you can get a good 5.1 system with a bookshelf speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer instead. This will make for a nice sound when you’re entertaining guests over the holidays.
I hope that helps you Mason, and please let me know how it goes! 🙂 :-)
