🌞HELLO TO MY AMAZING FANS AND FRIENDS!🌞
I hope that you have all been staying happy and healthy. During this time in quarantine, I'm sure a lot of you are wondering what to do to stay in shape, since the gym and other public places have been closed. Well, I am here to help give you all some great ways of doing just that!
As you may or may not know, staying in shape not only makes us feel better, but allows us to feel more confident about ourselves too💪. Your stay home workout routine starts here: ☺☺
Let's begin with the easiest way to get moving. Many exercise videos are available for free online or on Youtube. Just about any kind of workout is available there, and you can choose the one that works best for you. 🏋️♂️ I like to switch things up between Cardio and Yoga strength training for a well rounded workout. I particularly love Yoga🧘♀️. It’s not only good at getting you into shape, but also good at relieving you of your stress and worries. If you have never done yoga before, check out youtube video for a beginner’s guide, you can use a beach towel as a yoga mat if you don't have one.
REMEMBER: Always assess your own level of ability before taking on any new routine and if needed, email your doctor for advice. If you haven't worked out in awhile, here is my Yoga for beginners video to get you started:
If you wish to try to get the same form of exercises that you would at a gym; you can get pretty close with the use of random household objects. For example, do you have any cans of paint laying around? You can use these as a kettlebell (even a bowling ball🎳 left in its bag makes a great one). Another great household item to exercise with are empty milk and water jugs. You can fill these all the way up with water, sand or even small rocks to get great arm workouts. You can squat, lunge or do other leg workout holding these at your sides as well. You can fill a backpack with books and you can even use the walls of your home for stretches and wall-sits.
Walking🚶♀️ is also a great way to get in shape, whether it be around your home and yard, to around the neighborhood. You can walk at some parks or trails that are still open to the public and even go on hikes. Be sure if you do walk, to keep a 6ft. distance from others you meet on your walking journey.
If you have pets, play with them 🐶🐱. It not only increases your bond with them, but also gives you some social interaction while in self isolation. Take them walking or hiking with you, play games like fetch, and just enjoy having them in your company. One of my favorite ways to exercise is playing with my furbabies. Playing with or holding your pets is also an amazing way to reduce stress.
Another fun form of exercise is dancing.💃 Turn on some of your favorite music and shake what the good Lord gave ya, LOL! 🎵 You can even take this time to learn dances with an online dancing class, this can be a fun thing you can do by yourself or even with your significant other or quarantine buddy.
My last exercise tip for you is to grow a garden👩🌾. This can be productive as well as satisfying. If you have a yard, dig an area for your garden and plant some of your favorite things.
AND HERE IS A VIDEO TO SHOW YOU WHAT NOT TO DO. LOL.
