๐ŸฐRich, Dark and Dreamy๐Ÿฐ

sept-used-40So for those of you who know me. Know that I love, love chocolate.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ Chocolate and me, go hand in hand. My mom even bought me a pillow case that said, “Give me chocolate or give me sleep.” Lol lol๐Ÿ–’

The one thing l like is to always try to make sure that I have healthy chocolate. I try for healthy ways to have my dessert. Honestly, I’m not going to lie to you. It doesn’t always work out. I don’t do it everyday but sometimes you have to give in to your little cheat day every now and then.

But here is a healthy dessert recipe that combine to nutritious and delicious ingredients for an irresistible treat. I hope you like it as much as I do ๐Ÿ™‚ :-).

๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฐ Chocolate Hazelnut Avocado Torte๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฐ

The cook time for this recipe is 15 minutes it serves 10 people and the total time is 35 minutes ( plus one hour of chilling ).

Here are the ingredients for this delicious treat:

1 cup plus 1 tbsp hazelnuts

1 cup of dates that are pitted

a fourth cup plus 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder

2 large or 3 small avocados, peeled and pitted

a pinch of sea salt

3 tablespoons of maple syrup

A fourth cup of non-dairy chocolate chips

Directions :

Preheat the oven to 300 F. ย On a baking sheet, toast one cup of the hazelnuts in the oven for 10 minutes. Let cool, then wrap and a clean tea towel folded over and rub off the skins.

Prepare the crust : in a food processor, pulse nuts into a course meal. Add the dates and 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and process until mixture is sticky and crumbly. If it isn’t tacky, then add a tablespoon of water and process again. Press the mixture down into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable base. (You can also use a pie plate .)

In a food processor, blend the remaining cocoa powder, avocado, salt and maple syrup until velvety. Spoon into the crust and smooth with a spatula or the back of a spoon.

In a double boiler or microwave melt the chips and drizzle on the top of the torte. Track remaining hazelnuts and sprinkle on top. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until ready to serve.

You can even add whipped cream on top if you like.

Enjoy and let me know how it goes ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ–’๐Ÿ˜š
